Donald Trump vs Joe Biden

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua.

Donald Trump

Based on his birth time, Donald Trump has a Gemini sun in his 11th house. The 11th house is a house that represents peers, community, and networks — including social media. Thus: Donald Trump is a person who feels most himself when he is expressing his ideas to a variety of groups and communities around him. He is not fixed in his thinking; thus he may express himself differently depending on the group.

Joe Biden

Based on his birth time, Joe Biden has a Scorpio sun in the 12th house. The 12th house is a house that represents “behind the scenes” — whether it be work behind the scenes, wanting to be more isolated, or subconscious thinking. Thus: Joe Biden is a person who feels most himself when he retreats and can be alone with his thoughts/emotions. Though he resonates emotionally with the world around him and can connect with groups of people on an emotional level, he prefers acting behind the scenes and sees solitude as respite. He’s never going to be a Twitter/“X”— president.

The core of astrology is based on four phenomena:

Elements of the universe:
Fire, air, earth, and water. If you think about how those elements are discussed in everyday vernacular, you can get a sense of their representation. E.g.: a fiery person, an airy person, a grounded person, a watery person.

Modality of that element:
Cardinal (beginning), fixed (middle), and mutable (end). Let’s say our element is fire. A cardinal fire would be just starting; A fixed fire would be raging and ongoing; and a mutable fire is a fire that we could keep going or choose to extinguish— the choice us ours.

The Zodiac sign of that element expressing the different modalities:
There are 12 Zodiac signs, some of which you may be familiar with: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces.

The rulership of that Zodiac sign as discovered in astronomy:
Each sign has a planet “ruler” (in modern astrology, some signs even have multiple following the discovery of Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) that govern(s) how the element’s modality is expressed. Taurus and Libra, for example, are ruled by Venus.

Putting it all together we have:

Fire:
Aries (cardinal, Mars); Leo (fire, fixed, Sun); Sagittarius (fire, mutable, Jupiter)

Air:
Libra (air, cardinal, Venus); Aquarius (air, fixed, Saturn/Uranus); Gemini (air, mutable, Mercury)

Earth:
Capricorn (earth, cardinal, Saturn); Taurus (earth, fixed, Venus), Virgo (earth, mutable, Mercury)

Water:
Cancer (water, cardinal), Scorpio (water, fixed), Pisces (water, mutable)

Adding another layer of complexity…Houses:

In addition to having rulerships, each planet represents a certain area of a person’s life. The Sun, for example, is thought to represent the self/the soul’s vitality. And each Zodiac sign also represents a different part of a person’s life. In astrology, these areas fall into 12 “houses” — or sects of a Zodiac wheel representing the life cycle of a person. On the zodiac wheel, Aries, for example governs the first house— which is thought to be the house of self, self-identity/expression.

What is individual to the person, however, is which sign governs their own first house…

This is known as a person’s rising sign, which is determined by what time they were born. Hence why birth times are critical for a super specific reading. I won’t overwhelm you with knowledge of the relationships between planets, degrees of planets, the various types of charts, etc. Like I said, it’s a language.

Other very quick definitions & then we can get to the good stuff:

Ascendant/Rising: As I mentioned, the rising sign is the sign governing your first house. The rising sign is understood to be both the filter in which you perceive the world, as well as the way in which other people perceive you.

As an example, Donald Trump is a Leo rising. Leo is a fire sign, a fixed sign, and ruled by the Sun. What this means is that, in his highest expression people perceive him as warm, charismatic, and loyal. In his lowest expression, people perceive him as angry, egotistical, and narcissistic.

Reminder that Sun is thought represent to your self/your sense of vitality. Sun rules the sign Leo
